Intense Bleaching Cream
Remergent™ HQ is indicated for the gradual treatment of ultraviolet-induced dyschromia, including photo-aging, solar and senile lentigenes, as well as discoloration resulting from the use of oral contraceptives, pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, or skin trauma.
Active Ingredient:
Hydroquinone 4%
A highly effective hydroxyphenolic compound that interferes with melanin synthesis by inhibiting tyrosinase and other melanocyte metabolic processes.
Aesthetic Ingredients:
Evodiox, Ultrasomes, Roxomes, L-Ergothioneine
Safety Information:
As a depigmenting agent, hydroquinone can cause sun sensitivity and exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light will cause repigmentation. A sunscreen of at least SPF 30 should be used with this product.
Adverse effects include the development of inflammation and irritation, which may result in transient skin reddening and a mild burning sensation that do not preclude treatment.
Hydroquinone is usually formulated in an acidic base which may further irritation and can exacerbate hyperpigmentation resulting from skin trauma, e.g., post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation.
